Paiton and Zane Practice CPR

By Paiton Stewart

In the state of Oklahoma, all high school students must complete cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training and use of automated defibrillators in order to graduate. The senior class of Burlington completed this requirement on the first day of school by instructor, Evan Yauk. Mr. Yauk is an emergency medical technician(EMT) from Alva, Oklahoma. He taught the senior class how to perform CPR on babies, toddlers, young adults, and adults. He showed the class all the different tools that EMTs use when having to perform CPR and all of the different methods. Every student had successfully perform CPR for two minutes on a CPR manikin and all students passed.
