Dr. Mindi Clark, NWOSU Associate Professor of Agriculture, spoke to the seniors during English class on Wednesday, January 29. Clark, who holds a Ph.D. in agriculture education and a master’s degree in guidance counseling, shared an encouraging message. A state FFA officer and a first-generation college graduate, she related to Burlington seniors’ experiences as she attended small Braman High School. Clark described her career path and provided excellent examples of challenges students may experience in life after high school, no matter what they intend to do. She stressed to seniors a key point: “Figure out who you are, concentrate on doing that and doing it well.” Thank you, Dr. Clark, for your time and expertise and for encouraging our students to be their best!
